Army Corps statistics show that an
average of 123,000 people use the
Roosevelt facility every year.  Since the
1970's, local recreation users provided
much of the park's maintenance.
The increasing popularity of the park
for outdoor activities now makes
enhancements desirable.

To surrounding rural residents,
Roosevelt is a popular family
gathering place - and they support
it with considerable volunteer effort.
The thousands of visitors who
use the park each year greatly
benefit from this local stewardship.
 
 
 
 

Recreation Variety

Roosevelt offers fishing, windsurfing,
kiteboarding, sailing, swimming and family
picnicking and camping in a beautiful
outdoor setting.  Shown here are bass

enthusiasts.
